I don't use these so I'm sorry I can't give much info about them but they must work differently as they have different tile layouts.Ī5, B, C, D, and E all behave the same way, as standard tiles with transparency. If you don't know what an auto-tile is, then look it up.Ī3 and A4 are for things with walls and roofs and are an auto-tile that works different to the above. In MZ, there are several places to put a tileset:Ī1 and A2 are auto tiles. I don't have MV installed at the moment but I don't think it's tile structure is too different to MZ's. Use the grid instructions I gave you with them and learn the structure. Better you understand the philosophy behind it anyway. I don't have MV installed on this computer so I can't give you the answers you seek about tileset formats. If offset is an option, you probably won't have to configure that but it should be set to 0 on both horizontal and vertical. Since you'll be working with 48x48 tiles, you'll want to set your grid to 48 pixels horizontal and 48 pixels vertical. Setting up a grid will make sure that you get everything pixel perfect in the right place. Okay, if you're making you're own or even rearranging or editing a tile set, learn to setup your grid in your photo manipulation software of choice. I have tried replacing maps by renaming the json file, a old plugin that works with a "maps" folder inside the project folder, and many formats but it always gets stuck, also these are not large maps at all.īasically I can't use most tilesets that doen't come included with rpg maker mv and I cant figure out how to import tilesets nor maps that I made in Tiled and other programs.Īlso while searching how to fix this I seen posts talking about tileset formats for the image slots in the database (A1-A2.) but I cant find what these formats are and how to use them. I also tried making multiple tilesets into one big image, same problem. So I decided to start with some free assets, at least as reference. I have tried making my own tilesets but as of now I dont have enough experience they didnt look quite right.
